Since graduating from law school in 1992, Richard Gorman has practiced law in the greater Houston metropolitan area. He has experience representing a wide variety of clients, handling federal and state court cases in multiple states.

Education & Admissions

Richard graduated Magna Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law in 1992, receiving his Juris Doctor. He is admitted to practice in the following:
 
• State of Texas (1992)
• Supreme Court of the United States (1998)
• United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit (1995)
• United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Western, and Northern Districts of Texas (1992)

Marine & Non-Marine Experience

Mr. Gorman's Admiralty experience includes contract review and assessment, catastrophic injury and death cases, marine collisions and allisions, pollution, cargo damage, charter party disputes, wage claims, and vessel arrests and collections. He is unmatched in the area as a maritime lawyer.

His non-marine experience consists of handling products liability claims, fire damage claims, personal injuries, and business disputes, with litigation and counseling of all kinds. He has served as local counsel for many law firms, large and small, located both inside and outside of Texas.
